About Connect

Welcome to Our Website and Our Project!

The Connect Suicide Prevention Project is a comprehensive, community-based approach to suicide prevention, intervention and postvention (actions taken after a suicide) developed by NAMI NH. Using a public health approach and integrating key aspects of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention, the program trains community members to play a critical role in suicide prevention. The program encourages the development of a community network of service providers and citizens. The network is developed, trained, and supported to recognize persons at risk and connect those individuals in an integrated, systematic and comprehensive way with help.

You can bring Connect Training to your community. Connect Suicide Prevention and Postvention Training Programs are on the National Best Practices Registry and have been implemented in a variety of settings around the United States. Connect Staff have presented on topics related to suicide and mental health at conferences nationwide and abroad. You’ll find more information on these offerings in our training section.
